An analysis of content was made to various documents that define the curricular guidelines in this educational level. The findings indicate that education for consumption is absent at the macrocurricular level. However, some elements of the discharge profile (mesocurriculum) declare environmental training. In the microcurriculum, the areas of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences define blocks of conceptual contents related to the theme in the three levels analyzed: Elementary, Middle and Upper. The incoherence between the macro level and the meso and micro levels evidences the need to consider the inclusion of a transverse axis around education for sustainable development at that level. Also, it is revealed the need to develop Classroom Projects that are models of the integrating capacity of this subject in the Ecuadorian School. |
