| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar el consumo dietético como factor de riesgo de Enfermedades Crónicas No Transmisibles en adolescentes de Imbabura y Carchi. Fue un estudio cuali – cuantitativo, descriptivo, transversal; la población de estudio fueron 420 adolescentes en edades comprendidas de los 10 a los 18 años, que decidieron participar en la investigación a través de un consentimiento firmado por los padres de familia. Las técnicas utilizadas fueron: encuesta para antecedentes familiares sobre ECNT y encuesta de consumo de alimentos; los datos fueron procesados en EPIINFO versión 7. Los resultados principales hallados fueron: frecuente consumo de preparaciones altamente energéticas, sal añadida, azúcares, bebidas azucaradas, golosinas de dulce y sal, y alimentos procesados, y gran número de adolescentes con antecedentes familiares de ECNT. Conclusiones: Se identificó la frecuencia de consumo dietético de alimentos altamente energéticos, como factor de riesgo para ECNT, que puede traducirse en desconocimiento de alimentación saludable. | es_EC |

| dc.description.abstract-en | The aim of this research was to identify dietary intake as a risk factor for Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases in adolescents from Imbabura and Carchi. It was a quali-quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study; the study population was constituted by420 adolescents aged 10 to 18 years, who decided to participate in the research through a consent signed by the parents. The techniques used were: a family history survey on CNCD and a food consumption survey; the data were processed in EPIINFO 7. The main results found werefrequent consumption of highly energetic preparations, added salt, sugars, sugary drinks, sweets and salt, and processed foods, and a large number of adolescents with a family history of CNCD. Conclusions: The frequency of dietary consumption of highly energetic foods was identified as a risk factor for CNCD, which can translate into ignorance of healthy eating. | es_EC |
