| dc.description.abstract | Objetivo: Describir el clima de seguridad del paciente en un hospital del cantón Ibarra en Ecuador. Material y métodos: Esta investigación es de corte transversal, no experimental, cuantitativa descriptiva. La muestra se conformó por 191 trabajadores del hospital de diversas áreas, a quienes se le aplicó el cuestionario de seguridad del paciente de la AHRQ. Resultados: El 66 % fueron féminas, con un grupo representativo de edad entre 20 y 30 años (44 %), con educación superior (74,9 %), en su mayoría personal de medicina (34,1 %), seguido por el personal de enfermería (29,7 %). En cuanto al clima de seguridad, se tomaron en cuenta las dimensiones de trabajo en equipo (59,34 %), relación supervisor jefe (57,59 %), comunicación (62,45 %) y frecuencia de sucesos notificados (67,8 %) (se muestra la puntuación positiva). Conclusión: Se concluye que hay potencial para mejorar el clima de seguridad en el hospital y que se debe dar prioridad a mejorar la relación con el supervisor o jefe. | es_EC |

| dc.description.abstract-en | Objective: Describe the patient safety climate in a hospital in the Ibarra canton in Ecuador. Material and methods: This research is cross-sectional, non-experimental, quantitative descriptive. The sample was made up of 191 hospital workers from various areas, to whom the AHRQ patient safety questionnaire was applied. Results: 66 % were women, with a representative group aged between 20 and 30 years (44 %), with higher education (74.9 %), mostly medical personnel (34.1 %), followed by nursing personnel (29.7 %). Regarding the safety climate, the dimensions of teamwork (59.34 %), supervisor boss relationship (57.59 %), communication (62.45 %) and frequency of reported events (67.8 %) were taken into account (the positive score is shown). Conclusion: It is concluded that there is potential to improve the safety climate in the hospital and that priority should be given to improving the relationship with the supervisor or boss | es_EC |
