dc.description.abstract-enThe research on MSMEs in the province of Imbabura was carried out through a survey designed to evaluate knowledge about associativity and its benefits. In addition, it was investigated whether companies are interested in managing an associative consortium model according to their economic sector and work activity. The research was divided into several phases: Phase I: Identification of the population and selection of the sample applying statistical formulas. A greater number of companies were selected according to the economic sector and the canton, obtaining a sample of 277 companies. Phase II: Collection of information through a survey divided into two parts. The first part allowed us to collect data on the strategic planning of each MSME, revealing that few companies have strategic planning and organizational structure. In the second part, six questions were asked to analyze whether companies are interested in forming associative consortia. The results showed a lack of knowledge about the benefits of an associative consortium, but there is also an interest in managing activities that improve its positioning both nationally and internationally.es_EC
