dc.description.abstract-enSHUNGO was born from grief and questions about what is forgotten. A proposal that articulates the memory of Dolores Loyo, a healer from Otavalo and a member of the San Eloy community, it was developed through transdisciplinary approaches, experimentation, and artistic practice, involving the participation of viewers. The project was developed through a research-creation process that explores the notion of ritual and the importance of its objects. Its metaphorical and symbolic approach proposes a reflection based on loss, degradation, and resistance. Through an environment adapted to utilize the different languages of art, utilizing three installations in different rooms, creating a ritual that allowed for the expansion of the affective and the political. SHUNGO proposes the creation of a soundscape, a space of memory activated through perception, archives, and intimacy, bringing these shared stories into a collective memory. Thus, proposing an exhibition that seeks to energize ancestral knowledge and oral histories through the articulation of art by means of exploration, experimentation, and creation from social contexts.es_EC
