| dc.description.abstract | En todo el mundo, los neumáticos usados son una fuente de contaminación, pero varios emprendedores han visto este problema como una oportunidad de negocio, para lo cual el paso inicial es la adquisición de equipos de trituración. El emprendedor se enfrenta al dilema de construir localmente o importar dicho equipo. Este documento presenta el diseño de varios elementos mecánicos para una máquina trituradora de neumáticos, verifica las simulaciones realizadas mediante el cálculo analítico de uno de los elementos y compara los resultados obtenidos. Finalmente, se comparan los costos de fabricación con los costos de importación del equipo a Ecuador. Se determina que el costo de importación supera al costo de fabricación solo en un 1%, y se concluye que la construcción local no es viable. | es_EC |

| dc.description.abstract-en | All over the world, used tires are a source of pollution,but several entrepreneurs have seen this problem as a business opportunity, for which the initial step is the acquisition of shredding equipment. The entrepreneur is faced with the dilemma of building locally or importing such equipment. This document shows the design of several mechanical elements for a tire crushing machine, verifies the simulations made by analytically calculating one of the elements and comparing the results obtained. Finally, the manufacturing costs are compared with the costs of importing the equipment into Ecuador.
