| es_EC |

| dc.description.abstract-en | Higher education is the final stage of formal education, where official degrees are awarded and which provides students with the necessary competencies for successful entry into the labor market. In this study, we aim to highlight the importance of high school as a fundamental prior training for admission to higher education, and the need for those entering this level to be prepared to face the challenges of being a university student. The link and coordination between secondary education and higher education are established through high school, the phase that precedes university. In high school, the foundation for life preparation is laid, providing the basis to not only become but also feel like a university student. Choosing a particular university degree involves not only a preference for specific higher education studies but also the prior profile that is sought, considering the specific profile of the student, the techniques of advanced training, the utilization of acquired skills, motivation, and effort—factors related to student performance that will be necessary to successfully complete their studies. | es_EC |
