| dc.description.abstract | Introducción: Los adultos mayores por cambios en su composición corporal e inactividad física, son vulnerables a enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles. Objetivo: Identificar el estado nutricional y factores de riesgo para enfermedad crónica no transmisible en ancianos de la población de El Juncal. Materiales y métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, transversal. La población de estudio estuvo conformada por 50 adultos mayores de 65 años, a quienes se valoró el estado nutricional mediante indicadores antropométricos y bioquímicos, según criterios del MSP, también se valoró la dieta. Resultados: El IMC identificó al 28% de la población con obesidad y 32% sobrepeso. Según el perímetro de la cintura el 40% presenta riesgo cardiometabólico, de ellos, más del 20% tiene perfil lipídico alto; 10% niveles elevados de glicemia, 46% presión arterial elevada, el 100% dice realizar actividad física de leve intensidad, más del 50% tiene un bajo consumo de frutas y verduras, el 98% dicen tener un consumo moderado de dulces concentrados. Conclusión: esta población afrodescendiente presenta factores de riesgo para enfermedad crónica no transmisible por sus características antropométricas e hipertensión. | es_EC |

| dc.description.abstract-en | Introduction: Older adults due to changes in their body composition and physical inactivity are vulnerable to chronic noncommunicable diseases. Objective: To identify the nutritional status and risk factors for chronic noncommunicable disease in the elderly of the population of El Juncal. Materials and methods: Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study. The study population consisted of 50 adults over 65 years of age, whose nutritional status was assessed using anthropometric and biochemical indicators, according to MSP criteria, the diet was also assessed. Results: The BMI identified 28% of the population with obesity and 32% overweight. According to the waist circumference, 40% have a cardiometabolic risk, of which more than 20% have a high lipid profile; 10% high blood sugar levels, 46% high blood pressure, 100% say they perform physical activity of mild intensity, more than 50% have a low consumption of fruits and vegetables, 98% say they have a moderate consumption of concentrated sweets. Conclusion: This Afro-descendant population presents risk factors for chronic non-communicable disease due to its anthropometric characteristics and hypertension. | es_EC |
