| dc.description.abstract | La enseñanza de estadística y probabilidad en el bachillerato ecuatoriano se fundamenta en el desarrollo de destrezas enfocadas a la resolución e interpretación de problemas, la misma que actualmente enfrenta dificultades al evidenciar bajos resultados en las evaluaciones al finalizar la educación secundaria. El objetivo de la presente investigación es identificar las dificultades que enfrenta el proceso enseñanza – aprendizaje de la estadística y probabilidad para valorar el estado de la educación secundaria en el cantón Ibarra, provincia de Imbabura – Ecuador. La presente es una investigación cuantitativa de carácter descriptivo - correlacional y de corte transversal; la población estudiada fue de 362 estudiantes mediante una encuesta previamente elaborada. A través de la prueba de hipótesis Chi-cuadrado se encontró que existe relación entre las dificultades cognitivas de aprendizaje y la didáctica aplicada por los docentes (p<0,05); mientras que no existe relación entre la actitud hacia el aprendizaje y la didáctica aplicada por el docente (p>0,05). Se concluye que las dificultades cognitivas de aprendizaje se presentan por la aplicación de métodos y técnicas tradicionales de enseñanza que desencadenan conocimientos superficiales. | es_EC |

| dc.description.abstract-en | The teaching of Statistics and Probability in Ecuadorian high schools is based on the development of skills focused on the resolution and interpretation of problems, which currently faces difficulties by showing low results in the evaluations at the end of secondary education. The objective of this research is to identify the difficulties faced by the teaching-learning process of statistics and probability to assess the state of secondary education in Ibarra, located in Imbabura Province - Ecuador. This is quantitative research of descriptive-correlational and cross-sectional nature; the population studied was 362 students through a previously elaborated survey. Through the Chi-square hypothesis test it was found that there is a relationship between cognitive learning difficulties and the didactics applied by the teachers (p<0.05); while there is no relationship between the attitude towards learning and the didactics applied by the teacher (p>0.05). It is concluded that cognitive learning difficulties are presented by the application of traditional teaching methods and techniques that trigger superficial knowledge. | es_EC |
