| metadata.dc.description.abstract-en: | Imbabura's entrepreneurial sports journalists play a key role in offering information on various disciplines in traditional and digital media. They face problems such as the monopolization of transmission rights, difficulties in selling advertising space and the challenges of generating content on digital platforms. The research sought to determine if the innovation processes include new voices in sports broadcasts, such as women, people with disabilities, Afro and indigenous peoples, and the LGBT community. Four components were identified: innovation, technology, business strategies and assertive communication, which were analyzed together. It was concluded that, over time, the inclusion of new voices has grown, especially women as commentators, narrators and reporters. Furthermore, it was pointed out that there is no completely impartial sports journalism due to personal affinities and political and economic factors. Finally, the need for this segment to continually train in the digital ecosystem was highlighted, given that entrepreneurial sports journalism offers new opportunities. |
